We sponsor the annual Lions International Peace Poster contests. Participants throughout the world are provided with a topic and asked to prepare a poster that reflects the theme. Participants progress through various levels of competition at which successively larger awards, in the form of scholarships, are provided. The grand prize winner is invited to a presentation at the UN to receive their award.
Annual Art Contest for Kids
Each year, Lions clubs around the world proudly sponsor the Lions International Peace Poster Contest in local schools and youth groups. This art contest for kids encourages young people worldwide to express their visions of peace. For more than 25 years, millions of children from nearly 100 countries have participated in the contest.
Lions International Peace Poster Contest
For nearly four decades, the Lions International Peace Poster Contest has given children ages 11-13 the opportunity to share what peace means to them through art. Each year, Lions clubs around the world sponsor the contest in schools and organized youth groups, giving young people the opportunity to be recognized at local and international levels — and awarded a grand prize of US$5,000 — for their creativity in sharing their vision of the current year’s theme.
The theme of the 2026-27 Peace Poster Contest is “Harmony in Humanity.” Students, ages 11, 12 or 13 on November 11th, are eligible to participate.
When we treat each other with respect and kindness, peace can flourish. This year, we invite young people to imagine a world where people of every culture and background live together peacefully — celebrating differences, finding common ground and creating true harmony in humanity.
