| Our motto is “We Serve”. We are part of a global service network, dedicated to doing whatever is necessary to assist our local community and the members residing in that community. Our goal is to raise funds and commit those funds to the community in the form of donations to worthy individuals and causes. |

Annual Gun Show
|
| |
The Redding Breakfast Lions Club (members) performs various fund raising activities throughout the year:
Our major fund raiser was the annual Gun and Antique Show. This was a two day event where members dedicate themselves to working the show, which entails providing a venue for antique and firearm aficionados along with history buffs to come together, view, and possibly purchase items on display. (This event is no longer run by our club.)
|
| |
Half Marathon Run
|
| |
| Our other significant fund raiser is the organizing of our annual Redding Breakfast Lions-Turtle-Bay-Three Bridge run in the fall of each year. We have runners from various parts of the country come together to compete in the sport of running. A portion of the money raised is given to other local athletic running programs. |
| |
All Star Basketball Game
|
| |
| Another fund raiser involves bringing together high school athletes from various communities within the North State to compete in a basketball tournament. We select the top high school seniors in the Northern Region to compete with the top high school seniors from the Southern Region. The mission here is to provide a venue where we bring youth (after spending most of their teen years competing with each other) together in friendship working for a common goal, that is, competing against an opponent from a different region. These are seniors and the idea is to equip them with the tools, sense of fair play, and good sportsmanship to take with them as they graduate from their respective high schools and greet life with all its challenges. A portion of the money raised is returned to local schools for support of their music and athletic programs. |
