Installation Breakfast 2025

June 28, 2025 brought a new milestone to Redding Breakfast Lions Club with the installation of 2025/2026 new board members. It seems like it was just a few months ago we were doing this for 2024.

The weather was much hotter than the 2024 event, so didn’t mind that it was started at 8 AM.

Breakfast was served at 8:30. On the menu was eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast with strawberries and whipped cream (or syrup), pastries, coffee, milk and orange juice all catered by Dan and Donna Araiza from Wings of Angels.

Norm and Kay Overbay again so graciously opened up their home for us to enjoy the tranquil outdoor setting for a relaxed gathering. Even with the intrusion of lots of people the birds darted around the water features, making us feel like we were one with nature. Much better than a facility where we feel the need to hurry up and vacate so the next party can have the room. Thank you both.

Great conversations where we could share things beyond the usual Lion’s business. And in honor of Larry Watson, Melanie read us a great joke.

Left about 11:30. Much to my cat Lucy’s delight who was waiting for her 11:30 lunch!
