Moving Forward with the Lions

Anybody see the big black vehicle parked in an unofficial questionable parking spot when you left Country Waffles last Thursday morning?

First we talked about why would they park there and when looking closer it became quite apparent.   I had to crack-up with laughter, sitting in the driver’s seat was a big black and white dog patiently waiting for his passenger!  It reminded me of those commercials they have been putting on TV lately with the dogs driving the vehicle.

Ron Mino has given us a future event so you can start marking your calendar and plan ahead.  The Crab Feed next year will be January 28, 2017 at the Millville Odd Fellows Hall. Admission price to be determined. Next years Feed will only have music for 2 hours instead of 4 hours as we are getting too old to stay up and dance to the wee hour of 10 PM.

Ron has also so willingly offered his services as follows:    “In 3 weeks I will start submitting “bios” for those members not following through.  After 35 years in the club, I have dirt on almost all of ’em.”

Finally have been able to put down the paint brush and throw out my painting clothes.  Sycamore School PALZ room is all painted.  It looks fabulous!  Bright yellow door, cheery blue walls, cupboards and furniture painted in pink, purple, orange, green, and teal, trims in yellow and white, white bean bags, white glider chairs, white formica covered tables and a big yellow rug.  Haven’t seen the curtains yet but they will be yellow and soon put up.  A big thank you to all that have helped create this room.

  • Hey! Real nice piece, and that was my dog wasn’t it?! Ha!

I’ll help Ron with those missing bios. Great idea Ron.

    • I don’t know, was it your dog? He had to wait until you got out of the meeting? Well he was looking very patient, and did you let him drive home?

I am sure Ron would appreciate the offer of help!
