No Fly-Away Missiles

We braved the early morning hours to set-up a vendor booth for the Billy and Patrick’s Annual Big Sale on May 5, 2019.
Arriving before 6 AM… wow we don’t even do that for our early morning meetings. But, we were there with bells on eager to make some money for our charity.
Sold stuff before opening hour of 7. Good start to the day and I think we did pretty good of getting rid of most everything we had.
Having gone through my stuff for a second time since I moved up here almost 4 years ago, I doubt there is much else to part with.
A tent would have survived the event this year. Being prepared with a hat and taking cover for some shade as the sun peeked through the trees. Being over at 2 helped us from being in the sun full-time. The lesson from the one 2 years ago, was “make sure you have an escape route”. Seen it coming last time but I couldn’t move, just cover and hope for the best.
It was nice to get together with everyone as these events are never serious for us, as with other vendors that need to make a profit or it is not worth their time. With all stuff given it is not a big deal to give people bargains.
Socializing with other people and telling them about the Lions. There were many who know about us and the good work we do. Being out there last summer with all the devastation from the fires has given many people an awareness of what the community can do together when there is a need.
