Summer with the Lions

Written by:  Mary Stephenson

If anyone has been watching this site today (6/30/2016) you will have found a progress in the WRONG direction.  As with the internet things are not always black and white.  Not sure what happened or when it happened, it could have been after we tried installing a “photo gallery” plugin this morning.  But here I was back to one post and all the work that had been done for the past 2 months gone!

In “horrors” to say the least we got a hold of the hosting company and they were able to restore to the 18th of June.  So the “Summer with the Lions” post I just finished has vanished into oblivion.  Now I will try to take the time to recreate from my Facebook post and a few notes.  Fun for sure!  I will put Ron’s bio back on his page as that was done yesterday.  Hoping that we now have the bases covered on future disasters so we don’t go into a cold sweat trying to recoup!

A New Vision and Volunteers Needed

Written by: Mary Stephenson

We were given a list of the schools needs and they are looking for volunteers.

I was totally blown away with the program Olivia has put into place. “Skills of Independence”  After hearing about it and actually witnessing the difference in the kids at Sycamore, I can only say it is working. Continue reading

         Water relays at Sycamore School

A number of us had the pleasure of joining the kids at Sycamore School on June 2nd.  This was their last day of school.

Dreading the possibility of having to fire up the grill in 100 degree weather and master the art of keeping hot dogs from cooking to a crisp. Continue reading
