Dan Heleniak
Why am I proud to be a Lion?
The great Lion members I have been associated with, both past and present.
The many successful projects our club has been involved in, which benefited the community.
The many dollars our club has raised which were donated back into the community.
The Eye Glass Program that benefits the needy in our community.
The Lions International Eye Foundation that benefits people through out the world.
The many Lion members and their clubs through out the world, who are a huge benefit in their communities.
This is why I am proud to be a Redding Breakfast club Lion.

Dad was always a proud member of the Redding Breakfast Lions Club. I can remember going to the Shasta County Fair each year to park cars (back in the late 70’s/early 80’s). The only problem was dad liked the early shift (Breakfast Lions Club) so we were always at the fair before it opened. I saw a lot of sleeping carnies. But dad loved the Lion Club for so many years. Thanks for being such a big part of his life!
Your Dad always made us laugh and was welcoming to any one new. Thank you for sharing. He was someone I will never forget.
Our daughter Holly married Dan’s son Stephen in 2015. From our first pre-wedding visit, Dan and Livvie welcomed us as if we’d been in the family forever. Dan was so cordial and hospitable and we loved him and Livvie and feel blessed to be part of the family. Our sympathy and
prayers to all the Heleniak children and grandchildren.
Dan always had a kind word to say and was a beam of sunshine on Thursday mornings at the Lion’s meetings. He will be missed by many of us.
