After the songs, children were awarded for perfect attendance for the month of April.
There was a special recognition of Melvin Englehardt who is a neighbor, volunteer and a friend of Sycamore School.
All veterans that attended the ceremony received a sunflower and a certificate (the one above this post).
One little extra special thing at the end of the school visit. Kurt and the two of us were standing in the parking lot talking and out beyond the school fence was a white squirrel. A very nice surprise!
