January Party

Everyone that showed up for the Crab Party on the 28th, I hope had a great time. We sure did.
Hats off to Charlie Duncan and Ron Mino putting on a great event. The weather definitely was kind to us, could not have asked for a better day in January.
If you happened to arrived early you might have gotten one of those teachable moments! Yes, some of us learned something we can take with us for future events we might attend.
Ron was so kind to explain what side we should be wearing our name tags.
Yep, there is a correct side!
Okay, I won’t leave you in the dark. It is your right side. The reason is because you shake hands with your right…drawing you to the attention of the other person’s right side and inline with the name tag. Brilliant! Makes sense and we all walked away with some new knowledge. Who would have known we would be educated at a party.
The crab was delicious. The carrot cake was yummy, I am a dessert person so it was an A+ for me.
Congratulations to all the raffle winners.
Big thank you to all the guests that joined us for this event, we enjoyed your company. Hope to see you all next year and bring a few more friends!

A little line dancing would have hit the spot but a really nice evening all the same. Stan
Everyone seem to be having a great time. I think the folks that came without being Lion’s friends, had a great time. Hopefully they will want to return next year and bring a few more. According to what I have heard, we had a really good bargain for our Crab Event.
Charlie and I would like to sent out a big THANK YOU to all that help make this event a success: Larry Watson( first on scene);Mary and Gary Stephenson; Dave, Sharon, Carly Simpson and Fou: Clay Clifton(my muscle man); Ray Tickner and Mary (Raffle Masters); Stan Lundahl and all the others that helped set-up and clean-up; and the real, long suffering, behinds the scene helpers, Susie Duncan and Janet Leslie. I know we missed someone that needs credit and will pay for it Thursday.
Stan has suggested Line Dancing next year. Lynn Currie wanted to provide more music and felt there was a demand for it. Will the rest of you please give us any suggestions for making the Crab Feed event more fun.
