I am a native Californian. I moved to Redding in 1976. In 2004 I retired and then joined Redding Breakfast Lions Club. I was very active until the last few years due to health issues.
When I retired I was an instructor of a building trades class for high school and adults.
I have a designated credential for high school and adults in building trades and automotive repair. I have another for police science for California junior colleges. I am a “B” general contractor for California.
Currently married to Sue for 54 yrs. We have 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren.
The Lion’s club has been very rewarding to me for what we do in the Redding area.
Shall miss Ken he was a sweet man. Remembering his easy going nature no matter how many times he had to deal with the DMV.
Ken was one of my favorite Lions….never complained about his ailments, always a smile on his face. He built a planter shelf out of barn wood and donated it to one of our Christmas parties. Sharon and i won it and it is still standing in the back yard amongst our flowers. A good guy gone too early.

I always enjoyed seeing Ken at our meetings, and Sue at the functions. They both always brought a smile and a sense of humor. Ken was a very talented guy, and I always liked to hear his stories of working on old Jaguars, Ferrari’s and any other exotic toys that were brought in for him to fix. He was a true handyman when it came to fixing it or building it!
Ken was a great member of the club and will be missed!
