SHP Redding Chapter List of Needs
Monetary and in-Kind
1. Bedding and mattresses
2. Bed building lumber for twin and bunkbeds
3. 10 / 5-gal plastic buckets with lids, many bags of 0000 steel wool, 20 gallons of low acidity white vinegar and 5 gal paint strainer bags (10 to start).
4. A fence system for the chop saw and the drill presses with an adjustable stop system.
5. Drying racks for wood that has been stained.
6. Plenty of worktables
7. Fold up canopies for working outside in the summer months
8. T-shirts with SHP logo, with donor and sponsors listed
9. Plastic sawhorses
Larger Items Needed
1. Trailer to store tools, wood for future bunk beds, equipment for off-site bed building around town, material, etc.
2. Also, an additional trailer for all bed deliveries, to be able to haul mattresses, bedding and other supplies to the location.
3. 2 Packages of SHP Logo wraps for the exterior of the trailers.
4. A storage facility for lumber, equipment and completed beds (so we can build up our on-hand inventory numbers.) This will allow us to respond quickly when requested.
5. A bed build area for inclement weather with restroom access.
