Bunco 2018 Party
Written by Mary Stephenson 10-27-2018
Another super time playing Bunco this year.
Does it get better when you don’t have to be locked away in the room at the lone table? Last year I had spent 7 rounds there as the party went on without me. Finally rescued by the expert dice thrower, Julie (Jim Walker’s wife). They were not here this time and dreading the time I actually would have to go into solitude. But alas, I didn’t have to spend long in there.
Everyone brought some great food and we feasted on probably more than we should have in one setting.
Lots of fun catching up on what everyone is doing and with many that we haven’t seen in awhile.
Love it when beginner’s luck happens. Congratulations to Dawn, Charlie Follis’ wife. Four buncos is pretty amazing, when most us never get any.
I got 11 wins this time and won… now that was a big surprise. Last year I got 11 loses but still did not beat Norm.
Maybe there is a technique to throwing the dice but never have figured that out. Surprisingly the best throws I had were in the dreaded room, might have been that the tablecloth helped.
Rick from Auburn Lions Club presented a check from the Auburn Leo Club for the kids of the Carr Fire. Awesome, amazing bunch of kids.
A great big THANK YOU to Bill and Teri Ralston for again throwing a great evening. Love you both.
