We Serve

Christmas Party 2023

December 9, 2023

Just got back from a fantastic feast. (No kidding, it was really good!) Biscuits and gravy, perfectly cooked sausages, yummy seasoned fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, etc. Once the Christmas season is over and all the tree decorations are put away, and the chocolates are all gone, maybe we can get back to serious healthy behaviors.

I applaud Lion John, Lion Melanie, and all the other Lions (and spouses) that made this event a terrific success. Nice cozy little gathering, enjoyed many laughs and great conversations. A game to test our Christmas knowledge, which most of us did poorly, even if the bell curve was used we failed. Singing: we did a little better. The piano player did a great job of entertaining us as we relished in the delightful brunch.

It is nice to have conversations outside of our weekly meetings. The next social gathering is scheduled for a Riverfront Playhouse Buy Out in May. Trying to conjure up some interest early will hopefully bring a big turnout.

Looking forward to the new year with plans for 2024 activities. Things change and we learn to adapt moving forward.

What will the Redding Breakfast Lions Club look like in 2024? We do great things and must never lose sight of our purpose in Shasta County.

Thank you Lion Norm for all the great photos.
