Installation Party of 2018

July 8, 2018

Installation Party of 2018Our annual installation party was lots of fun. Thank you Dan Novak for bringing your daughter’s dance class to put on a great performance. (How nice to have such energy!) We enjoyed the food and entertainment.

Another year has disappeared in Lion terms! Going from July to June is the end of one reign and the beginning of a new appointed president and board.

Shuffling of the chairs as they move up the ranks to lead us.

Just like the end of a year in our own life, we look back to see what is and what we have done. Always interesting to see what the new administration proposes for the club’s future endeavors. President’s message.

By the time July shows up everything is tranquil. Soon projects and services will return and by late summer the vision programs will be in full swing again.

I think the club did some awesome things over the past year. We learn by trial and error of what works and what doesn’t. Always striving to improve.

We can look at efforts and return of value. At times it may seem pointless.

But there is something far more valuable in action to all our volunteering. The bond of friendships and working towards a goal. The joy of feeling good about your volunteering and the friends you make doing things together for a worthy cause.

How much of an impact you make on your community is impossible to measure. You can never really know for sure. We may have an idea of what we perceive it to be. Even a few words to someone can forever change their lives.

Volunteering gives you reasons to get up in the morning and appreciate your many blessings.

So a high-five to the new board!
