We Serve

Ken Knighten

Ken was a General Contractor. He was a member of the Asphalt Cowboys.

One of the first members of our club.

Sadly he passed away in October 2022. He will be missed.

Thoughts from other members of our club:

For almost the entire span of my membership in the Redding Breakfast club, Ken was a fixture sitting two seats down from me at the weekly breakfast meetings.  He never failed to greet me with a smile and a few kind words, even when he wasn’t feeling well or when he was at his wits end trying to get his building permit.  It’s difficult to image the club without him as a part of it.  He will be greatly missed.   Melanie Hunter

Lions Ken Knighten, Charlie Duncan, and Jerry Taylor all pushed beyond 50years perfect attendance and would elbow each other in friendly reminders.🎺🎺🎺Ernie 🌼

I first met my twin from another family in 1944 when I first moved to 🎱Redding.  We were both born on February 21, 1935.  Forward to 1964 when the Redding Breakfast Lions Club was formed.   I joined one week after the Charter period and Ken transferred in just before me.  Eve and Ken have been business partners for many years.  He was my great friend  and Lion.  We will miss him as will the club.  Lion Arch
