Riverfront Playhouse – Rabbit Hole
It has been a while since our club has enjoyed a Riverfront Playhouse Buyout.
Last night was a huge success.(4-28-2023)
Lots, and I mean lots of amazing dishes brought by everyone. Didn’t get to try everything. It would’ve taken 2 days to try it all.
At first I wasn’t too thrilled about the high tables and no stools in the reception room. But in the end it was actually a well thought out plan to help people move around and talk to others, instead of staying in one place. Kudos to Riverfront for this brilliant concept.
Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay-Abaire was a drama on a family dealing with grief. Even with the tears there was also a bit of humor, which was a welcome feeling amongst the story of tragedy.
The Lions and the Meet-up Theater Group, plus guests of each attended the buy-out.
A big special thanks to Dawn, Lion Charlie, and Lion Norm for putting this event together.
This has been a refreshing rejuvenation of our club in the past year with the Turtle Bay Run, Christmas Party, All-Star Basketball Game, and Riverfront Buyout.
COVID took a toll on all of our activities and membership. Many clubs have suffered from the disruption as well. I guess it means re-thinking everything.
For those who couldn’t attend, we missed you all.
Excellent review of the play and get-together! The Raffle made two Lions wallets bigger than when they walked in. Lion Arch Pugh and Lion Joe Hernandez collected $55 each.
Thank you President Charlie and Dawn for getting this fundraiser off the ground again!
